Well, I suppose the real question here is: Does size matter?  At this point in what I consider my 'captioning' career, I've learned there are so many varieties of what is preferred as "the ideal female body."  So every now and again, I like to challenge that.

For today's Vault caption, I bring you a recent caption from yester-year created for Dani Colorado.  When I first began captioning, I was completely against the idea of any mental changes.  I mean, why bother being transformed if you won't remember why you wanted to be transformed in the first place?  But over the years, I've discovered plenty of grey areas...  more than 50 shades :P

I Break the Fourth Wall

I love breaking the fourth wall--that invisible wall actors have between the stage and the audience.  I first started writing this caption with no intent of breaking the reality, but found it was something in the moment fun to do.  So...  enjoy!

Deciding for Herself

Been a while since I've posted any Morph.com captions, so here's one of the first ones I created back in 2011 for today's 'From the Vault' Friday.  Those who know me know I love Magic Remote, so when I discovered Morph.com on Writing.com--a story about a website that could change anything about anybody--it was right down my alley.  I will point out I don't think Morph.com is supposed to do object transformations, but I don't see any reason why it can't.  The idea is incredibly similar--and might make more sense--than Magic Remote.  Well, as much sense as a magical website that can transform people by entering a couple of words into a translator-type function can be.

Vengence

If I remember correctly, it was 2011 when Victoria Hyde made her debut around the Haven, and it was right around the time I ran what I called then my 'Hot September' promotion: In which I had promised to post one caption for a different member every day of the month of September.  Some were quite easy as I knew them well, but I remember this being the first I made for Victoria.  I also remember being pretty damn proud of this one too.

Dovakhin

I like--no LOVE--cosplay.  Never actually done it myself, but let me tel you there are EXTREMELY talented people at it.  And that can only mean great 'live action' photos for caption stories.  As mentioned in my disclaimer, I don't own the photo, and in this case I don't own the cosplay either.  But it DOES inspire a story.

Sensory Memory

Today's From the Vault I go way back to 2009 and about mid-way through my first trading year.  I had this silly idea that I could create an story one caption at a time, and Dee was really my first test subject on this.  I was also starting to try creating my own stuff instead of relying always on universes.

Love Exchange

According to the most recent poll on the blog, it would seem most of you like the Role Exchanger universe above the others (though Medallion of Zulo is not far behind).  I find this interesting considering I didn't really see Role Exchanger captions back in 2010 when I created this for Rachel (Yes, Rachel of Rachel's Haven).  As I mentioned before, I really enjoy this universe, and back in 2010 decided I would start using it in captions, and created over 20 in a sort of themed series for Haven traders.  Part of me still feels like I had a hand in bringing this universe to the captioning arena, but who really knows...  but it does seem that since I did start using it, I see it a lot more.

I liked the idea of having two couple exchange roles, including the way they felt about one another.  It was an interesting take which I felt worked very well.

Naptime

An early caption for Zefie in 2011, and a variation on my snorg-themed captions.  For those who don't know, I love the combination of t-shirt slogans in a caption.  So much so, that I found a website company that made many nerd/pop culture references on their t-shirts and used them for captions.  Also, I bought several of their shirts.  In particular with captions, I love the use of the t-shirt graphic to tell part of the story so I don't even have to mention it in the caption; instead, I can let the reader decide.

Not About You

Some girls just don't seem to get that when their gender gets exchanged, so does their social roles!  A creation I mad for Tar yesterday in a trade as I am catching up on what I've missed the past few weeks.  Which for my fellow readers means new captions, so yay for you, amirite?

We're Not Losers

I went in a completely different direction than I thought on this one.  Again, the transformation ranges from vague to not even mentioned.  It's inferred--which I think is becoming adapted into my style these days.  I think it allows me to explore the characters or dialogue more and really dig into a caption.  With this, I made a statement, which I believe is true.  And then I inferred that two guys did something about it.

Power over your Bullies

Why do good girls like bad boys?  I think this might have something to do with it... 

This is also something I tend to do a lot recently.  I allow the reader to make the assumption that Martin and Terri are the same person, but never actually mention it.  Something I've learned I suppose, which is show, don't tell.
