All Spelled Out

Sometimes, only the best part of the spell works, even if it means finding out some unwanted truths.

Round and Round

Well, I'm away from home for the week, but brought my flash drive nonetheless to bring a little entertainment on the downtime.  There was a caption I read sometime ago (regrettably, I forget by whom) which involved the use of a body swapping machine at a party which would scramble everyone around every 30 minutes.  In the past year, I have made several off this basis: swapping for the sake of swapping.  In this caption, John gets tossed in the mix, and none of the girls are left unsatisfied.

You're All Wet

In the literal sense mostly.

Over There

For today's Vault caption, I bring you a recent caption from yester-year created for Dani Colorado.  When I first began captioning, I was completely against the idea of any mental changes.  I mean, why bother being transformed if you won't remember why you wanted to be transformed in the first place?  But over the years, I've discovered plenty of grey areas...  more than 50 shades :P

I Break the Fourth Wall

I love breaking the fourth wall--that invisible wall actors have between the stage and the audience.  I first started writing this caption with no intent of breaking the reality, but found it was something in the moment fun to do.  So...  enjoy!

The Past and the Future

I am always amazed when I look back at some of my work I've created and realize the past Kaity left messages for future Kaity about life, happiness, distress, etc.  This is a recent creation for a Haven trade (Chelsea Baker), but this morning it spoke to me.  The wisdom of my past self never ceases to amaze me.  Things happen, and the best you can do is move forward.

Dresses are for Girls

Made on a whim based on a short conversation with myself and Rachel
while discussing a story I am writing.

Voices in my Head

Here's something I whipped up for a new user on the Haven this passed weekend.  Normally, I don't go for surreal type captions with folks I haven't captioned before, but methinks a change I sense.  Maybe--to some degree--I've stopped worrying about what somebody wanted and just tried focussing on making captions I am happy with.

Beside Myself

Another cap from Kaity 2 Kaity 4 Kaity featuring the silliness of--you guessed it--Kaity.

You Would Tell Me, Right?

I'm on a kick of doing creating things for myself.  Here's one I felt pretty good about.

Pulling it Off

A Great Shift cap from 2010 from the vault today.  Mostly, I like focusing in on people who decide to take on their new identity as their own.  I figure in such an event, after a while you would have several casts of people: those who went nuts, those who faked their identity, those who would try and live their old lives, and other who would accept the way things are.  Stronger point was the idea that tastes in romance would shift depending on the body you received.

ZZ Bottom - A Parody

Naturally being a fan of wit, parodies have been a favorite of mine.  Not quite sure Weird Al would go this route though.  For the original:

Orange You Glad...

A 2010 caption made for tgcomix.  A clear example of using an otherwise 'ordinary tg caption scenario' and then flipping it on its head.

Doorways

Sometimes I just need to write and get things flowing...  Last week led to creating this cap for Maddie, who I feel like I haven't captioned in ages, but more realistically it's just been a few months.  She actually provided this picture, and I just wanted to take it in an unexpected direction.  Challenge completed?

Huge Mistake

Just uhh, be careful with how you spend your tax returns...  A recent creation for Dani Colorado.

Love Exchange

According to the most recent poll on the blog, it would seem most of you like the Role Exchanger universe above the others (though Medallion of Zulo is not far behind).  I find this interesting considering I didn't really see Role Exchanger captions back in 2010 when I created this for Rachel (Yes, Rachel of Rachel's Haven).  As I mentioned before, I really enjoy this universe, and back in 2010 decided I would start using it in captions, and created over 20 in a sort of themed series for Haven traders.  Part of me still feels like I had a hand in bringing this universe to the captioning arena, but who really knows...  but it does seem that since I did start using it, I see it a lot more.

I liked the idea of having two couple exchange roles, including the way they felt about one another.  It was an interesting take which I felt worked very well.

Hot for Teacher

A recent creation I made on the Haven as a Pay-It-Forward caption.  I have begun offering a PIF along with my 2fer offers from time to time, which basically means anyone who trades with me can choose a pic for another person in the Haven trading area and I will caption that person.  It's a real treat I think, since I'm not asking for anything in return, they receive acknowledgement from someone else and, in most cases, allows me to branch out as a caption trader.

Lies & Truths

This was created for Terri over the past weekend.  I like doing captions that show acceptance just as much as I like making the 'holy $#!% I'm a woman' captions.  In particular, I really like the way this one turned out, especially since my computer lost the original story and I had to rewrite what I could from memory.  The first draft was better, but you wouldn't know that unless I told you...  which I just did...  dammit.
