Over There
For today's Vault caption, I bring you a recent caption from yester-year created for Dani Colorado. When I first began captioning, I was completely against the idea of any mental changes. I mean, why bother being transformed if you won't remember why you wanted to be transformed in the first place? But over the years, I've discovered plenty of grey areas... more than 50 shades :P

Vengence
If I remember correctly, it was 2011 when Victoria Hyde made her debut around the Haven, and it was right around the time I ran what I called then my 'Hot September' promotion: In which I had promised to post one caption for a different member every day of the month of September. Some were quite easy as I knew them well, but I remember this being the first I made for Victoria. I also remember being pretty damn proud of this one too.

Power over your Bullies
Why do good girls like bad boys? I think this might have something to do with it...
This is also something I tend to do a lot recently. I allow the reader to make the assumption that Martin and Terri are the same person, but never actually mention it. Something I've learned I suppose, which is show, don't tell.

Stood Up
I know, two mirror captions in the same week. Told you I'm a fan. Plus, in mirror shots, you get to see the girl twice.
I've been on a return streak lately, and this is just one of the latest created for Tar on the Haven. My premise on this one was to try something different--where through some unknown magical force, a man became the woman he wanted to date, but in the process has become so infatuated with the idea of dating, that she has forgotten who she was in the first place.

Smoke and...
As presented in my TG ABCs letter M, I love Mirrors in captions... not so much in everyday life. This is one I created last week for Katie Mills. Maybe I just have a soft spot for fellow Kaitys (though one likes to pretend she hides by wearing a mask), but I really enjoyed creating this caption.

Business & Pleasure
Ladies, here's a recent creation I made for Dani Colorado over at the Haven. I love pressing this girl's hot buttons, so I always put on my devious mistress cap when I start writing for her. This is a good representation of two things I think make current captions great:
1. The majority of the caption is dialogue. For some reason, having two characters speak to one another seems to make the caption more real. Or maybe that's just me. Inner thoughts work very well too.
2. I never say what the method of change was. I like doing this for a couple reasons. First of all, it allows the reader to decide what it could be--an MAU, something from SRU, Medallion of Zulo, Magic Remote, etc. Point is it let's the reader get what they want out of the caption. Which is my second point; a lot of havenettes in the trading gallery have some specifics about what styles of transformation they like. Letting you pick the style within the caption means it will work for you. The only disadvantage to this form of writing I can think of is for those who like descriptive changes.

Y is for
Y? Because I said so! It's a second-person Point-of-View caption! And yes, sadly, this means next week will end our alphabet.

Off Limits
I've decided to mix in the old with the new by dropping some things from the Kaitlyn Vault onto this blog. Not a foreign concept by any stretch of the imagination. This caption comes from several years ago when I first began trading on the Haven. I remember having difficulty adjusting to what other captioners liked, and this cap was one I felt I broke through fairly well. Back then, I was completely against any kind of memory integration--times have changed a bit--so I struggled with ways to make it work, and this seemed to be one of the better attempts.

Go on Over
Here's one hot off the presses I created for Havenette dani. I like the way the subtleties play into the caption. This is also a good example of having the character worry about the situation rather than what caused the transformation in the first place.

Love you Bro!
A cap from 2011 for Jennifer. I love the way this girl's eyes eat into you so you know the mind behind it is following it's every instinct.

He had it Cummin'
Back when I first started bein' fancy with my captions, I tried out this little idea of women from famous musicals. Here's the one I created for Courtney over on the Haven--and probably the one I think turned out the best. It was also one of my first times doing a music parody for a caption.

Time to Give Back
I always love a caption with a good twist. This one is one of my favorite more recent creations of that nature. The twist is so much so that--no, wait, read the caption. You'll get it.

Super Weird Science
If you're completely honest with yourself, you always tune in to a show when a mad scientist is involved because, well, 60% of the time the scientist has some kind of device that will either transform or brain-swap. The other 39% of the time there's time travel involved, and the last 1% is reserved for Dr. Evil. In any case, I've always loved mad scientist captions, and I like this one I created in particular because the mad scientist is a woman and treats the science fiction as a play thing. Also, I might have a slight turn-on for latex...

Morph.com
Reading is amazing. After reading interactive stories on Writing.com, I discovered some newer universes to play around in. While I'm certain a TF website isn't the most original idea these days, it's still a good one that works.

Links Specialist
So yeah, back in the day I actually did series. I still do, but it's more likely if I have something longer than the length of a single panel caption, it's a TG story on it's own. In any case, here's one of the very first series I created. If you can't tell, I'm a bit of a Zelda fan. I mean come on, you play the game with a fairy following you around. And I like fairies (Say what you will about Navi).

Little Sugar Goes a Long Way
Along with transgender fantasy, I have picked up a few other transformational fetishes. Typically, I pair these with TG. One that has somewhat dominated my tastes has been shrinking. I have never been able to put my finger on it. I have no idea why I like the idea. But I will say this: I don't like it on it's own. It has to be a girl getting shrunk. Maybe I'm just weird that way. And I'm okay with that.
What do you think about pairing other transformations with transgender fantasies? Do you have a favorite?
