Sensory Memory
Today's From the Vault I go way back to 2009 and about mid-way through my first trading year. I had this silly idea that I could create an story one caption at a time, and Dee was really my first test subject on this. I was also starting to try creating my own stuff instead of relying always on universes.

With Glasses
And part two of today's offerings...well, I juts couldn't resist the obvious joke, but I'm pretty pleased with the outcome either way. Perhaps a lifetime of torment is about to come to an end for Dan--at least, from the guys, anyway. Girls can be catty, sweetie; be careful out there! ;)
A Little Duel
Inspirations strikes! You're in luck, my dears--I have not one, but two new captions to share with you today! =D
First, you'll see that Annie here is fairly oblivious to the fact that Jeremy has clearly bested her in this little magical display of talent...and what's more, it doesn't appear that her becoming aware of the situation has done much of anything to reverse the effects. Not all of them, anyway. ;) Wonder how long Jeremy will leave Annie to her devices as the self-proclaimed hottest girl around with those sexy legs...or if he'll even change her back at all? Hehe!

Victim of Desires + 100K Views!
Although I doubt I'll be updating in the near future as frequently as I have the past few days, I just couldn't resist today for several reasons: for one, this pic was sent to me by Miss Brittany some time ago, and I finally decided to be a little selfish and make it about me...and for two, that's partly because the blog has reached over 100,000 views as of today! =D
As always, thanks so much to all of you ladies for supporting my little corner of the internet here, and without further ado, I hope you enjoy! ;)

The Chamber
Hello again, ladies! =D As always, scientific-based transformations don't come to me easily, but working under my new personal parameters, I found that this pic appealed to me in that sort of way, so here we are. Of course, I always have questions about even my own work after the fact: why did Hayden volunteer so easily? Was it for love of science, or was there more bubbling under the surface there? Who does the team work for ultimately, and what's the "purpose" of the chamber, as it were?
You decide! ;)
You decide! ;)

Love Exchange
According to the most recent poll on the blog, it would seem most of you like the Role Exchanger universe above the others (though Medallion of Zulo is not far behind). I find this interesting considering I didn't really see Role Exchanger captions back in 2010 when I created this for Rachel (Yes, Rachel of Rachel's Haven). As I mentioned before, I really enjoy this universe, and back in 2010 decided I would start using it in captions, and created over 20 in a sort of themed series for Haven traders. Part of me still feels like I had a hand in bringing this universe to the captioning arena, but who really knows... but it does seem that since I did start using it, I see it a lot more.
I liked the idea of having two couple exchange roles, including the way they felt about one another. It was an interesting take which I felt worked very well.

Lucid Dreaming
Well, hello there, my dears. =)
I know this is all for fun, but I do feel like I still owe those of you who read the blog a bit of an explanation, so I'll try to make this succinct: last week, around Tuesday or so, I woke up very, very sick. (No gory details necessary or requested, I'm sure.) I spent several days in this state, and by the time the weekend rolled around, my energy for everything was gone, with no exception for capping.
As it started to return though, I found myself unable to lock down an interest in any pics or concepts--it's like the fire was just drawn right out of me. Honestly, it's strange, but it was embarrassing to me, and so I got kind of reclusive there for a few days, observing but not responding. It's only today that I've found myself with both a picture and a caption idea in mind, and I jumped on the chance to act on it.
With all of that said, I've decided that adhering to any kind of update regimen, even self-implemented, is probably not the best idea for me. In reality, I'm married and very busy in my professional life, and my spouse does not know about my blog (nor do my co-workers, obviously.) I'd never said it aloud, but I was shooting for at least one or two captions a day before--unfortunately, that seems like an unattainable goal for the time being, especially for the types of captions I want to produce.
I'm always glad to take requests, but for me, the picture really has to speak to me as something I can cap with a unique sequence. Admittedly, this is a big part of why I've been so hesitant to get too involved at the Haven. It's a very nice place, and I don't begrudge anyone who enjoys it as such, but I just don't think the "cap me, I'll cap you back" style is for me.
The tl;dr version of this is that I was very sick, had a bit of a crisis of TG cap faith, and now I'm back on my terms. I'll be updating the blog as often as I see fit with work in which I take pride, and I sincerely thank all of you who continue to read this little corner of the Internet I've carved out for myself. =)
Now, to less seriousness! Here's the cap that got me going once again--both a beautiful girl AND a story that I really enjoy, and I hope you will as well! ;)

Hot for Teacher
A recent creation I made on the Haven as a Pay-It-Forward caption. I have begun offering a PIF along with my 2fer offers from time to time, which basically means anyone who trades with me can choose a pic for another person in the Haven trading area and I will caption that person. It's a real treat I think, since I'm not asking for anything in return, they receive acknowledgement from someone else and, in most cases, allows me to branch out as a caption trader.

Lies & Truths
This was created for Terri over the past weekend. I like doing captions that show acceptance just as much as I like making the 'holy $#!% I'm a woman' captions. In particular, I really like the way this one turned out, especially since my computer lost the original story and I had to rewrite what I could from memory. The first draft was better, but you wouldn't know that unless I told you... which I just did... dammit.

While They're Mine
A recent creation for Jackie Blue on the Haven. The way I figure is this: No matter what guy you are, if you found yourself in this situation, you'd surely take any and all advantages.

Naptime
An early caption for Zefie in 2011, and a variation on my snorg-themed captions. For those who don't know, I love the combination of t-shirt slogans in a caption. So much so, that I found a website company that made many nerd/pop culture references on their t-shirts and used them for captions. Also, I bought several of their shirts. In particular with captions, I love the use of the t-shirt graphic to tell part of the story so I don't even have to mention it in the caption; instead, I can let the reader decide.

Not About You
Some girls just don't seem to get that when their gender gets exchanged, so does their social roles! A creation I mad for Tar yesterday in a trade as I am catching up on what I've missed the past few weeks. Which for my fellow readers means new captions, so yay for you, amirite?

No Longer a Suspect
I imagine adjusting to life as a woman might be a little more difficult than adjusting to life on the outside, but then again, we all make sacrifices to have the things we want. ;)
Who Would've Thought?
Lots of things going on here: near-ultimate power, a new outlook on life...it's very full, but it's also a bit more racy, as indicated as an interest in my latest poll. Have a look! ;)
Building a Better Body
Had this idea in mind for the past couple of days, but I haven't had the chance (or the pic) to put it together until just now. Oddly enough, that could be one of the most jarring changes in going from male to female--the concept of exercise takes on a whole new life, doesn't it, ladies? ;)

Standing Room Only
Mom's got a little sadist in her, I think...don't you? =) I sure hope dad doesn't mind going barefoot in those tights for a while, because otherwise, s/he's going to be hurting for a while... ;)
Role Out!
I take no claim to creating the Role Exchanger universe. I do, however, feel that in 2010, I made the universe much more well known in the community of caption trading. I ran a promotion on the Haven to create these for folks who wanted to trade for them, and ended up creating near 30 in that time. This was the first I created for that promotion, and one of the true cases of a Role Exchange.
Hope to resume regular updates next week!

Context Is Key
Has there ever been a wish that wasn't interpreted either too literally or not literally enough in written history? I submit that there has not. Case in point... ;) (btw, love her outfit, and that hair! Mama mia! =D)

Just a Little Luck
Apologies, ladies, but I was quite busy today and didn't even have time to be inspired, so this one's coming in late and from a worn-out mind...still, I love the pic, and I love the cat-and-mouse game of "does she/doesn't she know" happening here. ;)
Update 3/6/13
Well, as you can see, I'm a little tied up at the moment. About twice every year, for maybe two weeks each, real life gives me a swift kick in the pants. Mostly, this is just an update to let you know I haven't gone anywhere, and better yet, once this project is over with, I suddenly have triple the amount of free time. So never fear! I'll have new creations for you next week.

The Chaperone
My favorite part about this one is how, until the half-way point, it seems like any other conversation a father would have with his girl about her own state of dress...but of course, in reality, Dad's just trying to make sure he doesn't look too tarty while out and about with his little girl. ;)

Playing Dress-Up
Oh, Frankie...you should've learned by now that the longer she holds the camera in place, the more likely she's not just taking a picture. =) I just hope, for your sake, that you were telling the truth about how much you enjoy dressing up! ;)
